Most singers use excessive muscle in order to sing
higher, louder or even with more emotion, whether they are doing this
consciously or uncounsciously. When the swallowing muscles are triggered
to engage or work in trying to help with the sound that we are producing,
our vocal cords are prevented from vibrating freely.
In proper correct vocal production which Jeffrey teaches, the outer
muscles of our throat or the swallowing muscles that we use remain in
total relaxation and unused. The larynx remains relaxed and stable (not
moving upwards for high notes or moving downwards for low notes). This way
vocal cords can remain closely together throughout the entire vocal range
and the singer can easily sing through their bridges of their voice
smoothly, having an unnoticable transition into their upper registers. In
result, singer's words are clear and easily produced and easy to
understand. Their tone and sound that are produced will be natural, not
manipulated and unforced, so singers can easily sing through an extended
vocal range with an even and connected tone, no voice breaks and no
strain.
Jeffrey's teaching is about cause and effect. We allow our students to
Experience the process and Feel the results. It is a lot more effective
for students to learn and remember when they gain great experiences rather
than learning from lengthy explaination. Jeffrey's vocal training allows
students to experience and feel the difference. He simply does not teach
