Hello, everyone.
Thanks so much to Isabelle for setting up this temporary list, to Karen for letting me and others know about it, and to those who are trying to sort out what happened.
I passed on this info to people I had addresses for, and I see at least one person already here on that list, so my apologies for the redundancy!
I read the 7-message archive - and thought I'd respond to Sandra's message about her instructor, an opera singer, whom she likes, but who is absent for several weeks at a time. She asks:
<<Does anyone have any observations, suggestions or similar experience on how to cope with the absences?>>
I have three suggestions:
Tape your lessons, and when your teacher is absent, practice with your last few lesson tapes. It's a little like having your lesson all over again.
Ask your teacher to put some vocal exercises on your tape, so you can practice with the tape in his absence.
Discuss the issue with your teacher, and ask him for guidance on what you should do to maintain your progress until your next lesson.
Good luck!
And I didn't know how much I would miss Vocalist until the messages stopped coming!
Thanks again, Isabelle, for setting this up!
Peggy
