In the past I've seen many amateurs strugling their way through music, without
being to able to read notes.
What I don't understand: for somebody with even just an average IQ it must be
possible to learn to read notes in a short amount of time. Are you planning to
suggest your student to start with that? Most people waste so much time while
watching TV, that they must have many hours of spare time, if they stop
watching just a few of those utterly stupid programs. Which one does not
matter: they're all stupid.
