Thank you Karen for saying what needed to be said. To me, young singers are
Tenors, Baritones, Sopranos or Mezzos and that is all.
I entertained the thought that I was a dramatic Tenor for about a half a
semester. Today I still have a sunny, lyric tenor voice. I tried to push
my teacher to classify my voice, once. "You are a Tenor" she said. Pushing a
little more I got, "A Tenor with a pretty voice".
