There will be two performances in London and Edinburgh on the 15th and 18th
November of a Words and Music entertainment based on Haydn's visits to
England.
The performers are Sally Bradshaw, soprano, Timothy West, actor and Philip
Collin, piano
The concert will include the cantata "Arianna a Naxos" and several of
Haydn's settings of Scottish folk songs and readings from Haydn's journal
and contemporary writers.
Wednesday, 15th November 8pm St Mary's Church, Elsworthy Road, Primrose
Hill, London. Proceeds of this concert are going to the Medical Foundation
for the Care of Victims of Torture
Saturday, 18th November 7.45, St Cecilia's Hall, Cowgate, Edinburgh for the
Georgian Concert Society.
