Here is the situation - we have an adult male music teacher with presumably an untrained voice - how does this teacher go about showing the children the difference between their "play" and "singing" voices? Should the teacher work alone with a selected student and use that student as a model? Pitch the songs up higher and tell the children not to yell?
Just as an example, I have been working a little bit with my son - he tends to either sing in fairly low in his "talking" (play?) voice or he gets silly and sings way up high in head voice. He can sing in this "singing" (middle?) voice but doesn't seem to do so naturally, and demonstrations in my voice seem to confuse him.
Perhaps I should have my wife work with him, since her natural range matches my son's voice better...
Thanks for the advice,
Michael
