One of my favorites: "Where is the life that late I led" from Kiss me Kate. It's in the first volume of "The Singer's Musical Theatre Anthology."
It has a clever verse, a catchy chorus, and a contrasting, slower section. The humor (Cole Porter at his best) is rather "high brow" in that references are made to famous landmarks and cities in Italy. An example:
"And in Venezia, where are you Alice, still there in your itty bitty, pretty Piti Palace."
It requires a real operatic voice, and even has a brief cadenza. Check it out!
