Either way, it seems you are handling the whole thing well, being
considerate enought to send a letter asking for the money back, etc.
It's true, she could be going through some difficult times, however, I
would still say you deserve to be reimbursed with either lessons or money,
did you have anything in writing regarding payment, etc? You may need
that. Best of luck with your new teacher, Hopefully things will go
better.
