Wow, a cottage deck collapsing. I'll definitely use that image to reassure myself that any problems that I might have with a pianist are minor in comparison!!
It's reassuring to know that everyone has this difficultly happen at one time or another. I was lucky when I sang years ago to have a wonderful pianist that would follow me no matter what happened. But that was long ago and far away.
Thanks everyone! Vivian

So you've just got to do your thing, no matter what! [Have I ever mentioned the time the cottage deck--with myself and all guests on it--collapsed in one spot during my solo at a wedding? All night long everyone told me how impressed they were that I kept singing (it didn't collapse where I was)--but I was disappointed that no one seemed to notice *what* I had been singing!!]
