Naomi:
I did an Irish program with harp last year and we enjoyed very much doing
the Benjamin Britten settings of Irish folk songs such as "The Last Rose of
Summer", etc. Although they are traditional works, the artistry of his
arrangements was very satisfying artistically and they moods they evoked
were very wonderful for the audience. Got lots of good comments on them.
These are available easily in a book from Boosey & Hawkes, "Folksong
Arrangements", not sure which volume.
