Dear Michael and Vocalist:
Loved the quotes! Thanks! It reminded me that I have a copy of Desiderata someplace, and inspired me to find it, dust it off, and hang it on my wall again.
It also reminded me of an e-mail funny a friend sent me once. It's called "A Prayer for the Day." Here it is:
A PRAYER FOR THE DAY
So far today, God, I've done all right. I haven't gossiped, haven't lost my temper, haven't really been nasty or selfish, and I haven't tried to take advantage of anybody. I'm really glad of that. But in a few minutes, God, I'm going to get out of bed and from then on I'm probably going to need all of Your help I can get. _____________
I hope this makes you all chuckle; it really helps me on some rough days. I have a copy of it taped to my computer monitor, as a matter of fact!
Enjoy!
