One of the funniest ad lib comments I ever heard of in a classroom came during a Form and Analysis discussion of Debussy. This was in the early 80's when Remington Steele was a popular show on television. The teacher was discussing the idea that Debussy wasn't really an Impressionist, but was, instead, a Symbolist. He asked if anyone could name another Symbolist and from the back of the room came a voice saying "Stephanie", quickly followed by "Ephraim" from another corner. That was about the most fun I ever had in a Form and Analysis class...
