Hi,
Iam am fairly new to this list so I'll introduce
myself first: I am a lyrical tenor, and I love
especially Schubert. I also love Barbara Bonney. Yet
with Schubert-songs, although her technique is
splendid and her voice superb, she cannot completely
hide the fact that her voice is one octave higher than
the voice for which most Schubert songs have been
written. Still, she does it better than many tenors,
surely including me. But if you want to hear all the
beauty of her lyrical voice, I think you should listen
to her recording of Mozart songs.
