They would assume you were providing yourself with an accurate tool for
analyzing your performance. Setting one up from time to time - especially
in rehearsals - seems like a perfectly natural thing to do, and if anyone
asks, you could just explain. That's what rehearsals are for - observing,
listening and revising, which your camcorder will allow you to do. It would
probably be more questionable in a recital situation.
