I think Lloyd well summarised his thoughts about this in one of his more recent notes. Certainly I have no way of feeling velum closure so there must indeed be two kinds of people if half (?) the population can. One thing I know for a fact is that only 50% of people can fold their tongues vertically and hold it folded with their top teeth, so there are certainly major muscle differences in the tongue. So that makes four. I won't mention that Caucasians have yellow ear wax and orientals have black.
