OK, you repertoire geniuses out there!
I am having a hard time finding things to end a recital with. I am a lyric soprano, with a comfortable high C# held, E if I don't have to hold it. :)
My teacher says no arias, but I don't really care what language it is in, except French (Debussy's Forgotten Arias are taking that slot). It can be a set, a couple of songs, or even a song from a set. (I am not above changing the order of a set at this point -- I did it with "I Hate Music!")
You know, a crowd pleaser, something stirring, something fabulous, something that makes them stand up and yell at the top of their lungs, "BRAVA, BRAVA!!" as the last of the chord melts away . . . .
OK, back to reality, you get the idea. :)
