I know there are many teachers who do not advocate teaching preteens and
children. There are those who won't teach anyone under 16 or 18. Why is
that? That is what I was taught years ago but it doesn't make sense to
me. My guess has always been that the teacher must be steeped in opera
technique which, of course, would be too strenuous (I assume.) Any
answers, theories, etc. out there? Anne
