This was said by my heroine (and my daughter's namesake) Eleanor
Roosevelt. She was a wonderful woman who left her chairpersonship of
an organization "Daughters of the Revolution" after the membership
refused to allow legendary contralto Marian Anderson sing at a
prestigious hall for being of African descent. (trying to keep to the
topic of vocalists ;-)
