Wow! Thanks so very much for your prompt and very informative replies. My
usual opera reference book _Opera_ [Andras Batta, edit] describes about 400
operas. But I am told there are about 15-1600 operas in all. Mark, I'll
plan on adding your suggestion to my shelf. I'll try to get a copy of the
recording Kerubino mentioned, too, so I can hear the whole opera.
