What song is it, and what's the text?
In general, when you descend, you can imagine that you are ascending,
and that will keep the sound from "dropping" out of resonance. Is it a
back vowel that you are struggling with on the F?
Remember, pitches don't really go up and down. You can imagine them all
going out away from you on the same level.
