learn to sing as you know you should be able to. if you can't sing,
nothing else matters. the world of opera is filled with people who can't
act, can't dance, have no idea what they are saying in whatever language they
are singing and had some starving pianist pound the notes into them.
singing well comes first, everything else comes second (unless you want to
join the peace corps and teach acting and tap dancing in german to people who
are more worried about eating).
