one of the problems with a low carbohydrate diet is a lack of fiber. it is true that it is common in the arctic regions for diets to have little or, no carbohydrates and in those regions, it may be an advantage not to have to pull one's pants down quite so frequently, however, it may also leave those of us living in more temporate zones, full of crap. (as a vegan, i assure you, my affliction in that area is purely stylistic.)
