Don't you hate it when doctors say "take a deep breath" when what they mean
is "take a high clavicular audible breath" (meaning, really, a SHALLOW
breath)? I always ask my doctors "Do you really mean a deep breath?" I
think it annoys them but I have to re-translate because if I take what is to
me a deep breath, they say, "No, I mean a DEEP breath!"
