You know, some people's teeth are crooked, meaning the bottom teeth are too
far forward, and their natural tongue position is farther back than touching
their bottom teeth. I am a case in point. Also, as I go into the super high
range, being a coloratura, my tongue sneaks back, (not a lot), which serves
to create more, not less, space in the back of my throat.
So there you go. Not everyone's mouth is created the same.
