Hi Dale,
thank you for sharing this moving story with us all. As I am preparing a
book on Christmas stories (real ones) I would like to have your permission
to use it as basic material to be re-written by a local writer.
All the best for the New Year!
Walter

good as yours, but every bit as meaningful to me, because it happened to me.

told me that her little girl was getting a puppy for Christmas, but that
they couldn't wait til Christmas to give it to her, and if she came back
with the puppy, would I give it to her. I immediatly said yes. No one had
ever asked me to give anything to anyone as Santa before.

setup with a small animal carrier, making her way through the crowds. I
looked to my right and saw the little girl and her father in lineup again,
maybe 5 minutes away from seeing me. I saw the woman give the carrier to one
of my helpers and she stashed it to the other side of the display.

first sight. Mom and Dad sat next to me on either side, the little girl on
one knee and the puppy on the other and we had some more pictures. I was in
tears for most of it and when they left I had to ask the photographer for a
minute while I composed myself so I could go on.

every Christmas Eve making his rounds around the world leaving a little
something here and there for the children of the world.
