I think we went by names for NATS conventions in Louisiana (and its
regional counterpart), where I did my undergrad & masters' degrees, and I
know that the Central Region goes by names - when we received our judging
assignments for last fall's convention, each category had all the students'
names listed (perhaps as a way of ensuring that you weren't judging your own
students?).
