It is perfectly possible to write without looking at the paper! It seems to
me much less obtrusive (probably a wrong term! read "disturbing" instead?)
than having a judge talking while one sings! (It would make me think that
the audition is directed by Peter Sellars!)

All you have to do is not forgetting the LF (line feed) after the CR
(carriage return)! ;-)
