Lloyd, would you say that this mode is analogous to the harmonics of strings bowed and plucked? That would fit neatly with someone's observation that it is not possible to crescendo in falsetto. Sorry if this ground has already been covered; I've not been able to read 100% of these posts, but I thought about that when reading a prior post on this thread.
