Mine was as accurate as yours. And when I described my vocal problems to
Mark Baxter, a famous voice pathologist in the Boston area, in an e-mail,
he said:

"Of course the size of your larynx determines the natural tone. Doesn't the
size of the saxophone matter? You can't change genetics but you certainly
can embellish on nature. My suspicion is that you have multiple problems
based on imitating favorite singers and forcing your speaking voice lower
than it should be when you were 13. I will know more when I hear your
voice."

The imitation ( which he spelled as iRRitation originally ) thing and the my
forcing my voice lower when about 13 were right on target!
