In fact, there's no such thing as Cognitive Therapy, but TherapIES, since there are different tendencies that can be considered cognitivist. RET is one of them, and one of the most recent, but, no doubt about it, most functional. Very simplistic, very pragmatic...but very functional. I still prefer reading Jung and Freud, but when it comes to presenting measurable results, not anecdotal ones, cognitive and behaviorist therapies and those stemming from them are still unbeatable.
