I thought I'd add my comment that I do not think that the list should be moderated. I think at the worst, if someone really goes over the top and will not behave if asked nicely then it may be possible to have them blocked from posting. I don't really think that anyone has gone that far on the list, and private e-mails gently reminding "over enthusiastic" posters not to stray beyond the bounds should normally suffice. That said, I may be mortally offended that Mike doesn't appreciate all of my jokes. Must be the cultural differences. That's it. No other explanation!
