There is an interesting article on training the countertenor in the
latest issue of The NATS Journal of Singing (November/December 2000;
Volume 57, No. 2) by Richard Miller. He includes a brief history of
the term "countertenor" and its modification from the English choral
countertenor to the present meaning of the term.
