Along these lines, Here is the 2 best excuses I have yet to hear from kids as
to why they missed a Heritage Children's Chorale concert:
1. Our power went out and we didn't have any hot water and I was stinky from
playing softball.
2. My cat had a furrball.
Then of course, there is the home-alone -for -the -weekend teenager who has a
"sinus migraine" and is knocked out from pain meds so she cannot drive to the
concert. Said teen was seen playing touch football in the freezing rain
while we were at the concert. This one's mother is furious with us for
reprimanding this child. It never ends....................
