sorry, it is 'set your voice free'. i must be getting inflamation of the voice book library.
the octave and a half exercise on the cd is the best. i have substituted 'dope' ala homer simpson for 'goog'. the lowered larynx sounds are also good.
one key thing is to let it go into falsetto at first, if it has to, and try to squeeze into regular voice on the way down. you'll remember a similar exercise on one note from appell's book.
the falsetto eventually gets stronger, turning into real voice. and yes, it sure doesn't seem like it will turn into anything at first.
