Well, during the last rehearsal session on Monday it seemed that a clever combination of different solutions for my trembling legs really works. In front of the real audience it didn't work as well, partially because my turn was only after the pause so I had to sit and wait for about an hour collecting adrenaline... My legs were trembling when I was on stage but it wasn't so bad this time though it affected my support. I hope my legs learn to relax one day :-)
However, I really enjoyed performing in the concert this evening. I could have sang all the night, it was so fun, especially the high notes, which felt so easy and perfect.
After the concert we had a feedback session with the two teachers (both are opera singers as well as voice teachers). As a result, I came home crying - BECAUSE I'M SO HAPPY.
Both teachers emphasized the fact that my voice material is REALLY good. I'm finally starting to believe it although I had always regarded my voice as a "big, ugly duckling". (Maybe my last song today "En svane" was some kind of "Nomen est omen"-thing)
As a whole, this experience was so rewarding that I know I'm ready to do whatever it takes in order to cherish this voice/hobby/may-become-profession-combination.
Best regards,
Marika
