My former teacher went to Berklee AND also had classes with Baxter. She said
teachers at Berklee are not chosen according to their teaching method or
technique, but to their performing skills. It may be not a good idea to
attend Berklee. Concerning Baxter, she said he is extremely popular among
ENT specialists in the area because of his success in helping singers with
the most varied problems. He had those problems in the past and had to study
a lot to help himself, and now others. I sent him a question about my voice
and he guessed what the problem might be with such an accuracy, mostly given
the few details I sent, that I said to him it was not science, but
witchcraft! And that teacher of mine admires him a lot.
