My opera coach,Maestro Carl Suppa always said that not understanding the words
while singing is a sin.......To have great vocal sound is one thing ,but if
diction is not there, you might as well just use an orchestra....that's why we
have albums called "Opera Without Words". Maestro would never let me perform
anything unless he could understand what was coming out of my Mouth. Some say
Sutherland slured her words just to have a great sounding instrument, but opera
buffs want both. My advice is to make sure not only is the instrument perfect,
but your diction must also be in the same caliber...............Bobby,Philly
