Bernarda Fink is a singers whose reputation has not been as large as her recordings would suggest. She has appeared on a number of baroque recordings, including a number of Handel operas; also, her recording of works by Hasse with Barbara Bonney is to be recommended. If Monteverdi appeals to you, she sings an absolutely ravishing Penelope in Return of Ulisses. I would also suggest, for a change of pace, that you take a listen to her recording of Brahms songs.
