Off the top of my head--Claire Watson, Seth McCoy, Elisabeth Grummer...
Emma Calve got off to a slow start, and Rasponi includes Giulietta Simionato
and Germana di Giulio as "late bloomers."

Certainly, if you want to reach international superstardom, an early start is
a huge advantage. But if you simply want a rewarding career, you don't
necessarily have to hit your stride in your teens or twenties.

If a singer has the goods and can deliver, people are going to want to hear
him (or her). Anyone who doesn't believe that should probably consider
another career.
