Bless you! It is so good to hear Sting is singing well! I had heard him a
couple of years ago, and his top was very strained, but perhaps it was
just an off-night. I agree with you that he is one of the true geniuses of
our time, and glad his characteristic snarl hadn't ruined his voice
permanently.

Perhaps he has changed his technique recently to be gentle with his older
vocal cords? I think you're right that his technique used to be
questionable in his Police days. Perhaps it started to catch up to him a
few years ago, resulting in his finding a healthier technique, hence
the better singing when you heard him?

Healthy or not, what an artist!
