as i remember, oprah herself started off by filling the screen and is
still filling the airwaves with her large speaking voice. i don't see
aretha franklin falling into obscurity. nor do i recall falling into an
intellectual and emotional rapture after experiencing the rocket science
rampant in such works as- l'elesir d'amore, don pasquale, cenorentola, manon,
cosi fan tutte (nice ensembles though), etc. (although, i did chuckle for
hours as i stuffed my fat face with bon-bons watching that hilarious dr.
malatesta).
