rachel,
i hate to disagree with you but, inhaling through the nose lowers the
soft pallette. it has to otherwise, no air comes in. as for humming, the
soft pallette is down then as well otherwise, air would build up in her mouth
and she would sound more like a transexual bing crosby than a girl humming.
