Well, I went off the Pill about a year or so before I went back to grad school after being on for about 9 years ... and the post-Pill years were my vocally most productive. Perhaps that's because I was focusing on the technique exclusively w/o the day job hassles; perhaps it was the Pill. But I was loath to go back onto it because I didn't want to screw things up. Other people I know have had no problems... >>
I'm one of those who has had no problems with it. In fact, a year or so ago, I switched brands to a pill that has been developed for peri-menopausal women and that has almost completely stopped the pre-menstrual vocal problems I was having. This pill is formulated with a more constant dose of estrogen and it has really helped me a lot. The brand name is Mircette, if anyone's at this same stage in life and is interested in it.
