I was breast-fed as a kid, even though we were upper-middle class, and my
mother suffered for it, as (apparently) I regurgitated it all after each
feeding...I don't remember any of it.

OTOH, I rarely get sick, and if I do, I can usually kick it in 3-4 hours
(mono took a full day), but I attribute that ability to drinking a fifth of
Tequila in 10 minutes at a high school party when I was 14...

I just wanted to add that I wasn't breast-fed by my mother in the late 60's
because it was seen as something only poor women needed to do. A
middle-class woman SHOULDN'T have to breast feed, because she could afford
formula. A sad idea. (And I may have paid for it too, I had lots of upper
resperitory infections as a child.)
