I was breast-fed as a kid, even though we were upper-middle class, and my mother suffered for it, as (apparently) I regurgitated it all after each feeding...I don't remember any of it.
OTOH, I rarely get sick, and if I do, I can usually kick it in 3-4 hours (mono took a full day), but I attribute that ability to drinking a fifth of Tequila in 10 minutes at a high school party when I was 14...

I just wanted to add that I wasn't breast-fed by my mother in the late 60's because it was seen as something only poor women needed to do. A middle-class woman SHOULDN'T have to breast feed, because she could afford formula. A sad idea. (And I may have paid for it too, I had lots of upper resperitory infections as a child.)
