I have a lower passagio break an octave lower (where you experience your "yodel"), although it is really my top one that causes me the most distress :) The lower is not near as dramatic, and at worst, when I hit it without modification of any kind, I have a feeling like that which David Jones describes as "crashing the registers;" somewhat unpleasant to listen to, but it does not really "feel" as different as the notes in my passagio.
