Yes, mine is an octave above yours (Eb at the top space of
the treble staff). I have a lower passagio break an octave
lower (where you experience your "yodel"), although it is
really my top one that causes me the most distress :) The
lower is not near as dramatic, and at worst, when I hit it
without modification of any kind, I have a feeling like
that which David Jones describes as "crashing the
registers;" somewhat unpleasant to listen to, but it does
not really "feel" as different as the notes in my passagio.


Hope this clarifies my first post. It is wonderful to have
people like you with whom to discuss these concerns!
