I did a little poll of the messages in my inbox and so far I had 7 no and 4 yes. I would make a plea to the no group - one of the truly remarkable things about Vocalist.org is its archive, which we don't have in the otherwise (I admit) very comfortable and productive Vocalist-temporary. There are also links to useful and interesting sites, and the guestbook does have a sort of culture of its own. Yet, Marko, I wonder if you will be able to maintain the group as formerly. Certainly there are less pressures on your life than if you were still trying for a medical degree, but this isn't an entirely predictable period for you either. Are you sure you will be up to it? I don't mind the ads - in my display they are text only and I 'tune them out' - I agree, however, with the lister that a sponsored site that aimed ads at a target audience of singers would be desirable - I, too, wouldn't mind finding out about available products - I certainly wouldn't mind if Hyperion Records - as an example - made me aware of their latest offerings! I would hope to send a voluntary donation, since that is the best way, though I'm very good at not getting around to that kind of thing. I don't like the idea of excluding anyone, although I certainly have my preferences, and I don't mind if the list gets a little rude. What would be tough would be 200 messages a day. With these qualifications, I'm for the restoration of the old Vocalist. john
