A friend of mine just came back from it and said it was awesome (I'm talking
of Joan Dornemann, since I didn't quote the whole post). I'm looking into
auditioning for it next year!

sorts of sopranos does he himself produce -- has anyone heard any of his
students, and might describe their typical "sound," if there is one? >>

I have it, haven't read it in depth yet, but used a couple of exercises for
agility and sostenuto this morning and they were VERY effective. I know a
tenor alum of his very well, and his voice is beautiful with a real ring and
wonderful breath control.
