If you have not met him, how can you find his style unpleasant? I don't think that I could judge the style of a teacher from a text. I, having taken Miller's class 6 times, find him to be filled with common sense about the instrument and greatly knowledgeable about style, expression, and musicality. His vocalises are marvelous. I have seen him make great strides in a short time with some singers, and begin many others on a clearer path to better singing. I just thought perhaps you'd like to hear another opinion from someone who knows him and has worked with him.
