It is not a specific pitch, but a range. 2800-3200Hz is high enough that
almost any pitch sung below a tenor high C will have several partials
which fall therein. A theory I've heard is that the various cavities in
the larynx resonate in this range, which is why a free and low larynx is
so important to the singer's formant.
