Christy:
As a grad from St. Olaf I can strongly recommend it to you. It has strong standards but that is what you should want in your college education. The quality of instruction is excellent and it is very personal. You will find students and professors who are interested in you as a person and will guide you toward achieving your goals. St. Olaf has a very strong sense of family but it does not attempt to restrict your sense of freedom, only steer it toward productive results.
I like the process that St. Olaf proposes. I know it has change a lot from my days there but, from all I have been able to ascertain, it is still similar in character.
Good Luck on becoming an "Ole". Lloyd W. Hanson, DMA Professor of Voice, Pedagogy School of Performing Arts Northern Arizona University Flagstaff, AZ 86011
